Updating a server

Automatic update

PowerNukkitX will notify you within the console if a new update is ready to be deployed.

Manual update

Make sure to shutdown your server before updating the server! We recommend creating a backup to prevent data loss in case unexpected errors occur.

Download the latest shaded JAR from Github

wget https://github.com/PowerNukkitX/PowerNukkitX/releases/download/snapshot/powernukkitx-shaded.jar

Replace the executable

Replace the old executable file with the new powernukkitx-shaded.jar.

Boot the server again.
